Winter Holidays in Tux / Hintertux
FUN ON THE SLOPES – WITH SKI OR SNOWBOARD
What a fantastic feeling! Tux is one level higher ... in the glittering white of the Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000. On the altitude of up to 3.250 meters above sea level, snow-white winter landscapes can be found in Tux, undisturbed and ready to explore.
One of Tux’ special attractions is the "Glacier Tour"
with 72 km of slopes and 15,000 meters of altitude change, it's a fascinating skiing challenge for a day trip! Experience it too: 225 km of slopes, with 800 hectares of slope surface, and 62 lifts – with a transport capacity of 107,800 people per hour! All these factors offer a new and exciting experience in the snow – with no queues! Additionally, the Hintertux glacier guarantees snow from October to May, and the downhill slopes to Hintertux, Lanersbach and Vorderlanersbach make Tux one of the leading winter sports resorts of the Alps.
Feel it too: Guaranteed snow throughout the year, powder snow from October to of May, and slopes all the way down to the valley!
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING - SKATING
The region also boasts cross-country skiing tracks: 14 km of classicla tracks (from Vorderlanersbach to Madseit) and 14 km of skating tracks in Juns/Madseit.
The tracks are maintained by the tourist board and are open to use free of charge. Please note the direction of the tracks!
Off the slopes
Have you tried the many options off-piste? The fantastic winter landscape invites you to discover nature in white - everyone in their own way - whether on a toboggan ride or a sleigh ride!
All cabins can be accessed by taxi.
Local traffic must be expected on the toboggan runs. Please note the tobogganing times!
Curling - a sport for everyone
No matter age, we’ve got something for everyone here! Traditional ice stock sport ensures fun and some enjoyable hours beyond the slopes.
4 Curling lanes in Tux-Lanersbach - Action and fun for long-distance shooting and aiming. Top tip: drinks are available.
WINTER HIKING - WINTER HIKING TRAILS
The 68 km of winter hiking trails, some of which are only rolled down, cleared or cleared, provide for a change in winter.
The winter hiking trails to the Eggalm, to the Penken or to the Sommerbergalm are a challenge - rustic huts and panoramic restaurants with Zillertal specialties await you as a reward.
Those who prefer to experience the great view comfortably can take the cable cars to the individual mountain stations. Hiking is a movement training. Muscles, tendons and ligaments are strengthened, the circulation gets going. Blood is increasingly pumped through the body.
